On Monday, April 6th, 2020, The Impact Movement hosted COVID-19: Real Talk for Our Community on Facebook Like. Since the COVID-19 pandemic started, we get information about its impact on the world, daily. To help us understand what’s being reported in the news, Carla M. Davis, M.D. and Lechelle Wilson-Wardell, MPH, joined us for a panel discussion and a Q&A session! Our time with Dr. Davis and Mrs. Wilson-Wardell was extremely educational. Thanks for tuning in!

Read their bios below:

Dr. Davis is the Chief of the Immunology, Allergy, and Retrovirology Section of the Department of Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine. She has been treating children with allergies and immunodeficiencies at Texas Children’s Hospital since 2005. She became a committed believer in college at the age of 16 after participation in Charles and Rebecca Gilmer’s ministry at Howard University in 1989. She is married to Eric Davis, Minister of Evangelism at Friendship Community Bible Church in Houston, Texas, and has 4 children. Over the past 25 years, she has served passionately in children and teen ministries, evangelism, and missions. She is grateful to the Lord and the leaders of The Impact Movement for providing Christ-centered discipleship that changed her life. She has served on the Board of Directors since 2013.

Lechelle Wilson- Wardell received her Masters of Public Health (MPH), in Health Behavior Health Education, in 1993 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC-CH) School of Public Health. She received her undergraduate degree in 1990 from UNC-CH. Lechelle has one son, Brandon, and is a member of Body of Christ Church in Raleigh, NC. Her goal is to continue to work to improve the quality of life for the communities with which she works.
