By popular demand, here’s how I make my famous & healthy Chia Bowl breakfast “cereal”. Please forgive my one-handed clumsiness as I had to hold the camera with my other hand.

Ten spoonfuls of chia seeds went into each mason jar. You can use more or less, to your own liking, but I like mine thick.

The carrot juice and whey protein are of course optional but I love to pack in as many vitamins and nutrients as possible.

After shaking once, let the mason jars sit for only a few short minutes (2-3) before shaking them again. The chia seeds begin to jell and congeal together very quickly and will otherwise form an unmanageable solid blob in the bottom of your mason jar if you do not shake them a second time. I then allow mine to continue to jell in the fridge overnight before mixing them with the nuts & seeds in the morning.

The bag of nuts were all pre-chopped and include walnuts, pecans, almonds, macadamia nuts, Brazil nuts, cashews, pistachios, sunflower seeds, hemp seeds, pumpkin seeds, and cacao nibs. You can use whatever you like. I would include hazelnuts if I could ever find them. All nuts and seeds are raw and unsalted, except for the macadamia nuts.

The Bulletproof Brain Octane Oil (MCT oil) is of course optional. You can use avocado oil instead of olive oil if you wish, or both. Sometimes I do. I personally like to change it up.

Since filming this, I’ve learned to mix all of this in a 4 quart bowl, rather than this 2 quart. Far less messy that way! And you’ll definitely want to use both hands!

During cleanup, please NEVER rinse chia seeds down your drain! They WILL stick to pipes, they WILL grow, and they WILL clog your drain and sewer pipes! Instead, wipe up with paper towel and dispose in trash.

This is absolutely delicious, and makes enough for me to eat every morning for an entire week, if I indeed wish to eat this every single morning. I personally like to trade off some mornings with a good veggie omelet (spinach, mushroom, green, red, yellow, and orange peppers).
