We started the morning with local guide at PANACAM, Abielle. He showed us the trails around the park, including a beautiful tower where we could view birds from he canopy, including the Keel-billed Toucan. We saw a family of Coatis on the path and enjoyed a breakfast before heading north to the coast. We made a stop at Luna Del Puente, owned and operated by Damian who is an awesome birder. We heard and saw many of our targets, learned about the plants there and got to try some of the amazing chocolate they make there, along with the beans they grow. We stayed for an amazing lunch and drove the 3+ hours to the next spot – Rio Santiago Nature lodge. We met manager @oldermauricio and after dinner did some night macro photography.
