Unbroken Warriors – Helping Veterans Returning Home with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
This week on Inspire, Navy Veteran and Founder/CEO of Unbroken Warriors Michael Dowens joins Co-Hosts Patti Trenchak and MEejie™ along with his service dog, Emery. In the Navy, Michael served as a Search and Rescue Swimmer and Boatswain Mate in Liberia, Somalia, Haiti, and the Northern Arabian Gulf during Operation Iraqi Freedom. After his discharge, Michael struggled with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). In this candid interview, Michael shares his life’s experience and his current efforts to help others through his nonprofit Unbroken Warriors. The organization was created to provide veterans that are suffering from PTSD the means to pursue effective residential treatment through various proven therapeutic techniques. Unbroken Warriors’ goal is for all American war veterans to manage their PTSD symptoms and regain control of their lives.
