This video was made by a junior at Brooklyn Collaborative High School as part of the student internship program. It’s about the cat Miro.
Here is Miro’s full story:
“From Mouser to Marquise”
One of For Animals’ volunteers spotted Miro living in an abandoned deli. The door was open, so she entered carefully. Miro came right up to her, so it was obvious that Miro was friendly.
We took her in, and another volunteer fostered her. At first Miro was very quiet. A trip to the vet revealed dental problems, which we treated. After that, she became much more playful.
She was also scratching a lot and the vet diagnosed food allergies, so we experimented until we found food that agreed with her. Soon she was ready for a #fureverhome. Miro was in Boston with her foster mom when a lady from Somerville, MA came across her listing on PetFinder. Miro was just the age and personality she was looking for.
But she noticed that Miro’s location was Boston, and the shelter was in NY. She thought either this is a weird mistake, or this is my cat! It was not a mistake, and Miro is now her very contented and pampered cat!
