So this is what a premium dessert tastes like! ✨

I may have found a new favorite – the Special Edition Chocolate Entremet Cake from Patisserie Le Choux-Colat by Chef Ely Salar delivers on its promises. I love all kinds of desserts and sweets, so when I first saw this cake I was immediately intrigued.

Truth be told I was skeptical at first, because of all the positive reviews I read about this entremet cake, internally I was saying, “it can’t be *that* good, these people must be exaggerating.” Or maybe they were hypnotized by the beauty of the cake that they had to say good things about it. But then if only for how it looks it’s already worth the price, so I ordered one for my birthday.

I approached this cake taste test with doubts because I’ve been burned before – most if not all of the beautiful cakes, pastries, and other desserts I’ve tried at hotels were only eye candy but turned out bland or dry or had unappealing textures – I had the assumption that all the effort must have gone into making them look nice that the taste was just second priority.

Watch the video to see how I was blown away by this cake! I only planned to do a cake video that won’t be longer than two minutes, but when I had a taste of this chocolate entremet cake I couldn’t help but rave about its premium quality. Patisserie Le Choux-Colat has proven that a beautiful cake can taste as good as it looks, if not better.

The mirror glaze on this entremet is so perfect you could see through your soul, lol. I also love how the Special Edition features the most attention grabbing chocolate flower I have seen on top of a cake. The cake design is so classic and would be appropriate for any occasion you may be celebrating – a birthday, anniversary, Mother’s Day, Christmas, end of the month treat, I’ve-been-staying-home-for-almost-two-years treat – you are free to make your own holiday. The only negative I could say about this cake is that it tastes so good it’s so difficult to have the self control not to finish all of it in one sitting.

…now I’m off to make up some occasion to enjoy the other flavors of Patisserie Le Choux-Colat’s entremet cakes (they also have Coffee Crème Brûlée and the new Mango Magnifique). After all, they encourage us to celebrate the everyday. #EverydayMadeSpecial

(Wow this sounded like a promotion. 😂 This is not an ad, this is really just one of the best cakes, it deserves the raves it’s getting.)
